2012 Workshops
SOCRRA is offering free recycling workshops for residents of its member municipalities (see list above). After residents place their recycling bins at the curb on collection day, recyclables are sorted into two separate compartments (one for paper and one for containers) on the recycling truck and brought to SOCRRA’s Material Recovery Facility (MRF) in Troy. At the MRF, they are further sorted, baled and shipped to mills where the materials are made into new recyclables.

Did you know that you can recycle ALL plastic containers (no matter what number is on the bottom of the container)?
Did you know that some hangers can be recycled, but others can’t? What makes the difference?
Before you make a purchase, do you think about how you are going to dispose of the product when it is used up?
