For businesses, being wasteful can also mean wasting money. Implementing a recycling program can help reduce your waste and increase your bottom line.
SOCRRA offers recycling collection for businesses located in one of their twelve member communities: Berkley, Beverly Hills, Birmingham, Clawson, Ferndale, Hazel Park, Huntington Woods, Lathrup Village, Oak Park, Pleasant Ridge, Royal Oak, and Troy.
SOCRRA provides businesses interested in recycling with:
- Free recycling collection once per week
- Free signage and labels
- Free technical assistance
If you are a business located in one of SOCRRA’s member communities and would like to get started with recycling, please follow these easy steps:
- Call 248-288-5150 to speak with SOCRRA staff about setting up a program at your location.
- Purchase carts/bins from SOCRRA to help collect and store recyclables at your location. Rolling carts on wheels (95 gallons) are $50 each, or curbside recycling bins (18 gallons) are $12 each.

Once the carts/bins are delivered, start recycling! Businesses can recycle the same materials collected through SOCRRA’s residential curbside recycling program—paper,cardboard, plastic containers, metal, and glass. We will provide you with all the information you need to help educate your staff about what and where to recycle.
