Yard Waste Collection & Preparation
Collection
Yard waste is collected once per week on the same day as trash and recycling. Place yard waste out to curb by 7:00 am on collection day.
Curbside collection of yard waste is provided from the first Monday in April through the third Friday in December.
During months when curbside collection is not offered, SOCRRA residents can bring yard waste to the SOCRRA Transfer Station at 995 Coolidge Road in Troy at no charge from mid-December through March.
When one of the following holidays falls on a weekday, collection for the holiday and remaining days of the week will be delayed one day. These holidays are: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day.

Yard waste must be separate from trash and recyclables. Yard waste may be placed in a 35-gallon trash can, clearly labeled or marked with a “yard waste” sticker available from your city office.
